I had 2 microdermabrasions (one week apart) and then 48hrs after the last one, I used my retin a. The woman who did the microdermabrasion said I could and that it would be like getting a peel. Today my skin is flaking off everywhere and feels super dry and red. I tried using my philosophy "miracle" moisturizer but it stung and seemed to make my face more red! What can I do to heal my face?

Answer: Microdermabrasion is more intense so can make your skin more sensitive
Thank you for your question! Lasting effects are dependent on proper skin care. Additional treatments will renew your youthful appearance. A series of six treatments over a few months is recommended for best results, followed by regular maintenance treatments. Best of luck!
Lower arm skin "weakness" is typically related to thinned skin from chronic sun damage. Also, if you are on blood-thinners such as aspirin, you are also more prone to have bruising here. I doubt microdermabrasion will be of much benefit. Retinol or retin-A based creams are a great starting point...
If you want to improve the quality of your skin, I would tell you to get some good skin care routine recommended by a skin expert, your dermatologist. Microdermabrasion really isn't going to do that for you. Hope this helps!
