Fraxel Repair: Q&A

Ask a Question

Can the Collagen Loss and "Cobblestone" Skin from Smoking be Repaired Now that I've Quit?

Hello and thanks for your time. I've recently quit smoking after 20 years and have been left with some severe damage (depressions in the skin, collagen loss and the "cobblestone" effect on my chin area). Can the damage be reversed over the next few years using a series of monthly peels/dermabrasion treatments or would an ablative Fraxel Repair be the optimum treatment to pursue? Can serious damage be repaired over a few years or is it simply too late? Thank you for your time.
