Swelling after arm liposuction

It can take a few months for the swelling to go away on upper arms after liposuction. Compression garments are often worn initially and they may need to be continued even after six weeks if the swelling persists. The swelling may depend on how much surgery was done, how much fat was removed, the age of the patient and their elasticity or tone preoperatively, their overall health and exercise regimen.
