I had a cosmetic procedure done; implants were placed in the nasolabial folds. I did not like the first outcome of the implants; therefore, the surgeon replaced the implants. After the second surgery, I have developed hypertrophic scars on both sides of the nasolabial folds. The scars have been there for six months. I don't know what to do. First, should I remove the implants? I am afraid that the scar will get worse if I remove the implants? Can pulse dye laser treatment be done??

Hypertrophic scars are extremely rare in the face.

Of course, I haven't examined you. But I think you probably shoud have implants removed with a meticulous scar revision done at the same time. Laser will not help.
