How Long is the Recovery Period After Having a Keloid Surgically Removed?

It's been approximately over a week since I had a keloid surgically removed. The check up with my Dermatologist was good and she said its healing well. My only concern is the area is extremely sore and its very uncomfortable. Since the procedure I have been in pain, I've been taking tylenol but it only works for a short period of time. My questions are How long is the recovery period? How long should I expect the area to be sore?
