How Long Pain Will Remain, Since Surgery 9 Dental Implants Plased and Root Amputation Tooth #30?

My Mother 81 years old had this surgery on January 16, 2013 (no diabetes, no any medication for osteoporosis). 9 implants had place: #31;26;23;20;19;12;5;4;3 and root amputation #30. Today January 28, 2013. She still experiencing pain in rank form 1 to 10 around 3-4. Still takes Vicodin 7.5-500mlg twice a day. Without Vicodin I cannot be, otherwise my high blood presser going up 190/95(!). Some gum is still swollen. Before the procedures doctor stated pain will remain no more then 4-5 days. But pain is still there, but getting better. Is any concerns of successes procedures?

How long will pain last?

After 9 implants and root amputation I would suspect 7-14 days if pain persist beyond this time frame I suggest being concerned and see your dentist good luck Kevin Coughlin DMD, MBA, MAGD CEO Baystate Dental PC

Pain After 9 Dental Implants and Extraction

There is usually only minimal discomfort after implant placement. The root amputation might have been more painful. Go back to dentist and have him look it over.
