Breathing Obstruction after Tip Rhinoplasty

If the surgery is limited to a tip rhinoplasty, you will have moderate obstruction immediately after surgery, but  breathing should return to normal within 6 weeks.

Your breathing should improve around 2 weeks after your Tip-Rhinoplasty Surgery.

In my practice, the majority of my patients are breathing well around 2 weeks after Rhinoplasty Surgery. During the change of seasons, some patients experience nasal allergy and nasal swelling that may cause blockage. This may dramatically improve with a painless triamcinolone (steroid) injection into the turbinates, when indicated. I hope this is helpful for you.
