Most halos or star bursts resolve in days if not weeks or months

Indefinitely in worst case scenarios, but that would be very rare. Most halos or star bursts, if they even occur, resolve in days if not weeks or months. They are very rare after 6 months.

Halos and Star Bursts After Lasik

Many patients will temporarily experience some glare, halos or starbursts around lights at night after Lasik, Lasek or PRK. This will usually resolve within the first one to two postoperative months. It is uncommon for patients to experience these night vision problems beyond 6 months after surgery.
