BUTTOCK IMPLANT LONGEVITY

Because buttock implants are made of semi-solid silicone rubber (not gel like breast implants), they are not subject to rupture and leak. Therefore, buttock imlants are considered a permenaent implant.  Glad to help.

Buttock Implants Are Permanent

Buttock or gluteal implants are made of a solid but soft non-degradable silicone material. They are permanent implants that will never break down or deteriorate.

Gluteal implants and recovery

The recovery from gluteal implants is definitely more involved than a brazilian butt lift. Not sitting on the buttocks for a while is important to minimize the risk of extrusion.

Buttock implants have the potential to last a very long time.  5 to 10% need to be removed at some point.

The recovery process varies from patient to patient, but I recommend 1-2 weeks off of work. You will need to avoid sitting, but you can stand, walk and lie down.  After 2 – 3 weeks you will feel more like your old self. Buttock Implants have a lifetime guarantee; however with any surgery there are risks.  Be sure to discuss these with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has done numerous butt implant procedures.
