How Long Will Recovery Take After a Lipoma Removal from the Lower Back?

I have a 2-3 mm diameter lipoma of filum terminale extending approx. 3.6 cm in lengt5h and centered at upper s2 level. It also says i have a mild diffuse marrow singanal hypointensity on T1 sequence which is proably due to hematopoietic elements. I have no clue what to expect in regards to recovery time or how invasive the surgery will be. They also say it may be wrapped around the spine also. I need laymans terms please.
