If hemmrroid cream doesn't work after 10 days, should I get a consult for sclerotherapy?

Hemorrhoids - sclerotherapy - seek consultation from a colorectal surgeon

It would be best to get consultation from a colorectal surgeon who can tell you whether they are internal or external hemorrhoids or both and what the best treatment is - sclerotherapy, banding, excision or one of the newer ablative procedures with RF technology.

Thank you for your question. I would recommend getting a consult at any time under a Board Certified GI specialist for safest and best treatment option. I hope this helps.

I think you can have a consultation for sclerotherapy at any point. I don't think applying the cream for 10 days is going to make much of a difference either way.
