After a TCA Peel is performed, the skin will begin to peel in the first 48 to 72 hours. Depending on the concentration of the TCA and the amount applied the skin may remain raw and weeping for 5 to 10 days. Once the outer layer of skin, the epidermis, has healed the skin will remain red to pink and sensitive for 6 to 12 weeks. It is important to protect the skin in this post peel time frame.
