Umbilical hernia mesh repair. Swelling, hard lump, pain, feeling of fullness and weight loss. What can I do?

Some firmness in the region of a mesh implant following hernia surgery is normal.  Whether this will resolve or not depends upon whether the mesh is resorbable or permanent.  Mesh is often used to fix a hernia.  Some mesh is permanent.  Some will dissolve.The inguinal hernias may be unrelated to your current problem.  It is unclear from the description whether a tummy tuck was performed or not.Please include pictures for a more thorough evaluation.Good luck!
