Answer: Use any You can use any shampoo you wish. Shampoos will not affect your transplants. You can pick and choose your favorite. Some doctors or websites may try to sell you a specific brand and that is great. It will impact your wallet more than your hair.

Answer: What Shampoo To Use After An FUE Treatment Growth after a hair transplant procedure is primarily contingent on:the careful selection of viable graftshow the follicles were handled during the procedureThese areas will depend on the physician’s skill and experience. If these grafts have been chosen carefully, they will not miniaturize. And if they have not suffered damaged from instruments or air drying, this will also contribute to their survival.Shampoos will work on the very top layers of the skin as opposed to addressing the follicular structures. So it is highly unlikely that they will have an effect on hair loss or growth. After a procedure, you may want to select a shampoo that is gentle and non-drying or irritating for your scalp. But this, of course, would be a different area of concern compared to graft survival, hair loss and successful growth

Answer: Shampoo Selection Hi there, i echo some of the comments below. Using a shampoo with high sodium lauryl sulphate can cause irritation to the scalp. I would recommend using an organic, sulphate free shampoo which is gentle on the scalp and hair shaft.

Answer: Recomended Shampoo After Hair Transplant (FUE and FUT) Whether you had FUE, FUT or no surgery the shampoo you use is important for you scalps health. I posted here recently that baby oil should not be used on the scalp, as it is a mineral oil from petroleum distilates. Patients also ask me about dandruff regularly. The most common cause of dandruff is the use of shampoos that cause damage to the scalp allowing an opportunist fungal infection resulting in flaking "dandruff". The most common lathering agent in shampoos is sodium lauryl sulfate or ammonium lauryl sulfate (that's spelled sulphate in the UK and Canada). Look at the label of your shampoo. Avoid shampoos that contain sodium lauryl sulfate, a long chain alcohol that damages/irritates the scalp. Use a sulfate free shampoo and your scalp will feel better and you will not be damaging your scalp and you will be able to resist a secondary fungal infection. This is the advice we have all our patients follow before and after surgery.Be good to you scalp and use a sulfate free shampoo!
