I got dermal fillers (juvaderm 4) injected into my nasolabial folds yesterday. I've noticed that the area most filler (small lump) om the skin on top appear blanched (whiter) than the surrounding area. it is just next to the little red bruise. It also feels a lot 'tighter' in this area. Is the blanched skin due to skin necrosis? I went to an experienced filler and I don't have any pain apart from the area feeling a bit tighter. I can't feel the fillers on any of the other parts of my face.

Your friend may be right, but it's hard to know without seeing a photo. In general Juvederm tends to be a thinner filler and actually it can have a translucent color if filled too shallow in the skin. So using a thicker HA filler like Restylane, or Perlane, or perhaps even Voluma might be better...
A persistant lump in an area of Juvederm injection can be caused by over-injection in that area. This will go away by itself with time, or hyaluronidase can be injected into the area. This should be done only by an injector with experience in doing this.Another possibility, although not...
