Answer: Rhinoplasty for bulbous tip There is no fat in the nose, since it is composed of skin covering the bone and cartilages. When patients have a wide bulbous tip, suture techniques are applied to the lower lateral cartilages of the nasal tip to affect a change. When the cartilages of the tip are excessively wide, a conservative cartilage removal can also be performed. All this can be accomplished with a closed rhinoplasty approach with all of the incisions placed on the inside of the nose. Answer: My nose is normal but fat at the bottom Eating more or less will not significantly change the size of your nose or the overall balance of your face. Typically, rhinoplasty is the only option to change the size and/ or shape of a person's nose. To know specifically what could be done and what type of results you can expect, please seek a consultation with a rhinoplasty expert. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: My nose is normal but fat at the bottom Keep in mind that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do without seeing photos and more importantly without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or facial plastic surgeon that you trust and are comfortable with. If you live outside of the United States, the surgeon should ideally be a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: Nose larger at the bottom Without photos it is difficult to determine exactly what is going on with your nose. From your description, it sounds like the nasal tip is more bulbous and wide relative to other parts of your nose. If that is the case, nasal tip refinement to narrow this area would be helpful. It is best for you to seek consultation with a rhinoplasty specialist to determine the procedure that would best suit you. Good luck.
