Is altering lip shape as opposed to lip size possible? (Photo)

Your lips are absolutely gorgeous and I agree, you do not need any more volume in your lips. If you look at the photos you've submitted, your photo is the only one with upturned corners of the lip in 2D and that is considered very pleasing. In fact, as we age, the corners of our lips always turn downward and many people spend a lot of time and money trying to get those corners to go up again. It's plausible that you could have some Botox injected into very specific muscles that suspend the corner of your lips so that it does not up turn and pull in as much. See a board certified plastic surgeon who knows the anatomy of that area well. Botox of this kind is "off roading" it and needs to be very carefully injected.

Although I believe that most people would be quite pleased to possess the lip shapes seen in the photo, I can nonetheless see the "inwardly curving corners" that are displeasing to you. Personally, I would do nothing at this stage to alter the shape of your lips. However, there is no arguing with taste, and it would be a rather simple procedure in experienced hands to inject a small amount of filler into the indenting corners to make them appear more like those in the sample photos provided. I would suggest, however, that your physician first inject a small amount of physiologic salt solution or dilute anesthetic solution into the region to give you a real-world idea of how the result will look with fillers. The test sites remain for just about five minutes, before the salt or anesthetic is reabsorbed, but this should be just enough time to give you a decent idea of what the final result of the actual treatment will be. If you like it, then actual treatment can proceed.The use of a hyaluronic acid-based volumizing fillers, such as Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, which I would use in my Upper East Side Manhattan office (and Princess Volume, which I would choose in my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved fillers are available) additionally allows you the security of knowing that if you are unhappy with the result that the injected material can be dissolved with hyaluronidase (an enzyme that breaks down the injected hyaluronic acid). Be sure to seek out a board certified aesthetic physician with experience in nonsurgical lip augmentation with fillers. And ask to see his/her before and after photos.
