I am 35 and my face has started heading south. I'm trying to conceive and will be having an artificial insemination next week. I am aware that I won't be able to have any treatments or fillers during pregnancy, I also know that pregnancy will give my face a unique glow. However, I am so unhappy with my drooping jowls and I feel much older than my age. Would it be risky to have Ultherapy one week before conception?
Answer: Ultherapy before pregnancy It is safe to have ultherapy treatments before you are pregnant or before you have artificial insemination. However, Ultherapy is not recommended during pregnancy. If you are really interested in Ultherapy, I recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist and explain your anti-aging goals and your plans to get pregnant. In this situation, I recommend being as honest as possible with your physician about your plans and timing to get pregnant so that any treatments you get are safe for you and your future child. Best of luck!

Answer: Is it safe to have Ultherapy while trying to conceive? I do not see a problem with having an Ultherapy treatment prior to conception. It would probably be best not to have the treatment after you were pregnant, but I do not know of any specific issue that would arise from this.

Answer: Ultherapy and Pregnancy As others have stated, we do not recommend this procedure or any cosmetic procedure when one is pregnant, but if you are trying to conceive and not set up to do the artificial insemination procedure for a week, I see no reason not to tell you to go ahead with this – the effects of the ultrasound are immediate even though it takes time to see the end results. And if this makes you feel better, than that is a plus in the whole picture that you are describing. Find a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon and have the procedure done.
