Liposuction relies on good skin elasticity to shrink (laser does not make a big difference)
It can be very difficult to understand the nature of cosmetic surgery and what may seem obvious may not necessarily occur in real life surgery. Your skin is a garment and that garment has certain qaulities such as elasticity.
Liposuction generally addresses the contents of the skin and not the skin itself. Despite claims that laser liposuction may help the skin to contract that is more a marketing tool than a realistic outcome. Laser may help the skin to contract but generally the amount...

Liposuction does not remove loose skin
Liposuction does not remove loose skin. Liposuction works by removing fat which is under the skin. There is a small amount of skin contraction due to scaring. Additionally, younger people tend to have more elasticity of their skin and get more recoil after liposuction. However, if you have loose skin prior to liposuction, you are going to have loose skin after liposuction. There are technologies, such as Smartlipo MPX, which do tighten the skin slightly. However, there is no substitute...

Laser liposuction will tighten skin but not severely stretched out skin
Although new laser liposcution can
tighten skin
following fat removal, severely stretched skin wil not be improved.
If skin has been severly stretched by pregnancy or weight gain, then an abdominoplasty is usually required.

Liposuction will not remove stretched skin
Liposuction will not remove loose skin. In fact, liposuction can worsen the contour of loose or stretched out skin. The success of liposuction depends on the quality of the skin in that area. Good elasticity with no stretch marks is ideal skin for liposuction, especially in younger patients. If you happen to have loose skin, the only definitive way to treat it is to remove the skin, such as in a tummy tuck for extra or loose skin of the lower abdomen.
Be sure to consult with board certified...

Liposuction and loose skin
Most of the technology coming to market is directed at tightening loose skin through light or heat based devices. Liposuction can cause some skin retraction. The addition of laser and ultrasound have not proven to be more effective than traditional liposuction.
The answer to your question is going to be based on evaluation of your skin by a board certified surgeon. If the skin is of reasonable quality liposuciton alone may be an option for you. If your skin is lax you will most likely get a...

Liposuction with loose skin.
Hi!
1) Superficial liposuction can tighten the skin. Dr Gasparotti from Rome showed this years ago.
2) Along with liposuction, we do tunnelling just under the skin, which I think helps the skin to contract.
3) If you have A LOT of stretched out skin, liposuction alone will probably not help. Then you may need a tummy tuck or some other skin removal procedure.

Lipo for stretched out skin
Liposuction will remove fat! It does not remove skin. If you have skin that is stretched out, wrinkled or saggy the only way to remove it is by cutting it out with a variety of procedures depending upon the areas involved -- tummy tuck, thigh lift , arm reduction etc.. What you may be talking about is the fact that skin, with good elasticity, will shrink following liposuction.

Liposuction Works For Bulges, Not Folds!
Liposuction is an excellent choice for bulges especially along the hips, thighs, and abdomen but does not solve the problem of loose skin.
I often explain to patients that liposuction may solve only one part of a two part problem. It helps reduce the bulges, but does not tighten skin.
During the examination the most critical question to answer is whether the skin has enough elasticity to shrink down to an new size once the fat is removed. This is quite variable among patients and...

Only excision can completely get rid of stretched out skin
There is a minor skin retraction when liposuction is performed. This retraction in my mind is not enough to get rid of over stretched skin. Excision is the only way to be able to completely get rid of this problem.
Best of luck!

Liposuction and Loose Skin
If you have loose skin to begin with, liposuction will likely result in more loose skin. Liposuction is recommended for patients that have good skin tone and minimal looseness.
The only procedure to help remove loose skin is to excess the skin out. Other liposuction methods that you may come accross here like laser lipo or smart lipo, Vaser or ultrasonic lipo, do not do this either.
Good luck.

Liposuction and skin stretching
Liposuction may slightly cause skin retraction, but in general if the skin quality is poor, the skin may sag more after aggressive liposuction. Skin excess is best treated by skin excision.

Liposuction and skin tightening
There are indeed some techniques of liposuction that tighten the skin. The significant minus is in the process of heating the superficial skin with a laser or ultrasound, causing darkening of the skin, irregularities and a "burned" or "cellulite" appearance. This unintended result is difficult or, in some cases, impossible to fix.
This comes as no surprise to experienced plastic surgeons who have been treating the terrible results from the ill fated superficial liposuction techniques,...

Liposuction will not remove stretched out skin
No.
Liposuction is a localized fat removal technique. Once the fat is removed it is up to that individual's skin to "shrink wrap" to the newer, smaller frame.
We all know that younger healthier skin will retract better than older or sun damaged skin. In addition, different ethnicities' skin retract differently - for example, pigmented skin (Asian, African or Latin) often retracts better than Northern European skin. Finally, skin in different areas of the same body retract...

Liposuction and stretched skin
Liposuction is routinely performed to remove excess fat, and not skin. Depending on the elasticity of the skin, there often is some degree of shrinkage just as if you lost weight. However, if the skin is already hanging under the chin for example, a lift of some sort my be a better choice, combined with liposuction.
There are some machines which using a laser burn the inner skin, such as the "Smart Lipo" machine. The manufacturer claims that it causes additional tightening beyond...

Liposuction Alone Can Worsen Skin Laxity
Liposuction is great for localized areas of fat where the skin tone is pretty good.
If you have loose skin now, liposuction will not be the procedure of choice to tighten it, and may in fact worsen the condition.
As all of the other doctors have wisely pointed out, your age and condition of the skin will largely determine how your skin will respond to liposuction.
All of us would like very much to have a technique to tighten your skin without surgery, and perhaps someday a technology will...

Liposuction removes fat but does not tighten skin.
As of now there is nothing that will reliably tighten loose skin other than cutting it out. If the skin is tight over an area where there is a fat deposit, then it will stay tight when the fat is removed. If the skin is loose over an area of fat then it will be loose or looser when the fat is removed with liposuction. This is true regardless of the type of liposuction used, standard, ultra sonic, or even laser suction lipectomy. There have been many different claims that this liposuction...

Liposuction and stretched out skin
Liposuctuon removes fatty deposits and relies on the overlying skin to contract. If that skin does not have good elastic properties or is already "stetched out" then removing fat will only contribute to increased skin excess. The only good way to appropriately treat skin excess is to excise it, i.e. cut it out. So the answer to your question is a definitive no. Good luck!
