Wide variation

There is going to be a wide variation in costs from one part of the country to another. Also, different physicians will have different definitions of what constitutes an "area". The best thing is to call some physician's offices and see if you can't get some prices in Bakersfield and also some surrounding areas. Look for board-certified Plastic surgeons, certified by the American Board of plastic Surgery.

MAny issues will effect cost of liposuction

Dr. Brzowski provided an excellent answer to your question. I concur with his recommendation. Clearly there are regional variations in cost. Many items factor into the cost and have an influence on the wide variation in prices you will be cited. Take all these into consideration before making a decision based on cost.

Do a little research on the phone.

Call around to doctors that have worked on your friends and family. See who comes recommended, and then go in for a consultation. At that point you can consider the costs.
