Liposuction of the chin is a straightforward procedure
Liposuction of the chin or more specifically the submental area is a straight forward procedure that yields very nice results in the proper patient with relatively little downtime.
What I have found is that it is essential to chose the patient wisely. In a relatively thin individual it would surprise me if it was only an issue of fat underneath the chin that gave you the redundancy you are concerned with. It is important to evaluate the status of the skin and muscle beneath the chin. If you...

Liposuction vs neck tightening procedure vs facelift
You can certainly get a quote for liposuction under the chin from several doctors. It usually runs from $2000 to $5000, depending on various factors (anesthetic choice, reputation of doctor, etc.).
But is that the best procedure for your problem?
If the problem is just fat and no loose skin at all (and no anticipated loose skin after the fat is removed), liposuction could indeed be your best choice.
However, if the muscles are loose below the chin, or there is a bad angle that the neck...

Liposuction for the neck works well if there is minimal loose skin
If your problem is isolated fat in the neck area, and you have good skin tone, then liposuction using ultrasonic or laser technique will produce a good result. Cost: $2500 - $4000. If you have begun to develop loose skin (and that is possible at age 45), or if the fat is deep to the muscle of your neck, then you might wish to consider a skin and muscle tightening procedure, along with fat removal as with a neck lift or a face and neck lift. Cost would depend on the extent of the procedure....

Liposuction of the chin is cheap and quick
Liposuction of the chin and neck is done with local anesthesia or local with sedation. It is performed through a small poke hole and sometimes augmented by the laser to enhance results.
The question is, however, are you a good candidate. The technique with or without laser will not remove signifcantly excessive skin and will not reposition the platysma muscle which can descend with age. At 45 it is likely that these 2 variables might very well be in play. Make sure you go to a plastic...

Submental liposuction great for fat under chin
Submental liposuction is great to treat fat underneath the chin. This can be done as an outpatient. The price will vary from region to region. Hard to give you a specific number but I would say the price probably varies from $2000-$4000 in most areas.

Liposuction under the chin and neck
If it is truly fat under the chin, then partial anterior neck liposuction might produce a satisfactory result. If the fat only is noticable when you bend your head down, as if you were about to touch your chin to your neck, then you may not get be able to have the treatment without affecting, negatively, your appearance at rest. But if there are muscle bands that need tightening or loose hanging skin, then other surgical procedures may be necessary to give you the result you wish. See a...

Submental Liposuction
In this circumstance the changes noted under the chin are likely to be multifactorial. Skin laxity, fat excess, and platysmal laxity. Very frequently, patients ask about changes in the neck, with the assumption that liposuction is the answer. For a 30 year old woman, this is a more plausible conclusion. What begins to happen in the 40's and 50's is decreasing tone of a superficial pair of neck muscles (platysma).
The inner edges of the platysma form vertical bands which are not...

Cost of liposuction of the chin.
Hi.
1) In our Manhattan office, liposuction of the chin will cost you $5000, including surgical fee, accredited office operating room, and board certifiied anesthesiologist. It is less in most of the country.
2) Do not assume that a double chin is always due to excess fat. You need a good evaluation. Liposuction alone might not help you.

Costs for liposuctioning of the neck
The costs for that procedure will vary widely based on geographic location, time, facility and surgeon. Your best bet is to call the plastic surgeons in your area and get a general idea of the fees then go in for a consultation.
