Liposuction Cost for Double Chin

Hi, I am a healthy, 45 year old female. I have always been thin. The problem I have that concerns me the most is fat accumulating under my chin. How much would it cost to have just my chin liposuctioned?

Chin Liposuctions run roughly $2500

Liposuction of the chin is done under straight local anesthesia with no ugly scars at all and you are back to work in 1 day for a cost of roughly $2500.

Liposuction of the chin is a straightforward procedure

Liposuction of the chin or more specifically the submental area is a straight forward procedure that yields very nice results in the proper patient with relatively little downtime. What I have found is that it is essential to chose the patient wisely. In a relatively thin individual it would surprise me if it was only an issue of fat underneath the chin that gave you the redundancy you are concerned with. It is important to evaluate the status of the skin and muscle beneath the chin. If you... more

Liposuction vs neck tightening procedure vs facelift

You can certainly get a quote for liposuction under the chin from several doctors. It usually runs from $2000 to $5000, depending on various factors (anesthetic choice, reputation of doctor, etc.). But is that the best procedure for your problem? If the problem is just fat and no loose skin at all (and no anticipated loose skin after the fat is removed), liposuction could indeed be your best choice. However, if the muscles are loose below the chin, or there is a bad angle that the neck... more

Liposuction for the neck works well if there is minimal loose skin

If your problem is isolated fat in the neck area, and you have good skin tone, then liposuction using ultrasonic or laser technique will produce a good result. Cost: $2500 - $4000. If you have begun to develop loose skin (and that is possible at age 45), or if the fat is deep to the muscle of your neck, then you might wish to consider a skin and muscle tightening procedure, along with fat removal as with a neck lift or a face and neck lift. Cost would depend on the extent of the procedure.... more

Liposuction of the chin is cheap and quick

Liposuction of the chin and neck is done with local anesthesia or local with sedation. It is performed through a small poke hole and sometimes augmented by the laser to enhance results. The question is, however, are you a good candidate. The technique with or without laser will not remove signifcantly excessive skin and will not reposition the platysma muscle which can descend with age. At 45 it is likely that these 2 variables might very well be in play. Make sure you go to a plastic... more
