Key to Liposuction is to Keep Weight Down
If you have liposuction and gain weight, the new fat will go somewhere else. Liposuction works great at removing diet-resistant fad pads. However, if you remove 5 lbs. with liposuction, your new weight optimally should be 5 lbs. less. If you go up 5 or 10 lbs. then that weight will go to areas where liposuction was not performed.

Weight gain after liposuction
if you are consuming an amount of calories that maintains your overweight condition, than once you reduce the fat in your body, you will need less calories per day to maintain the lowered fat mass you will have. But if you eat the same after liposuction as you did before, then the fat is gained in different areas and often more in areas that didn't have liposuction as those areas have more fat cells per area than those that underwent liposuction.

Liposuction should be used as a sculpting procedure, not for weight loss
Liposuction reduces fat deposits in problem areas. However, if you consume more calories than you burn, your body will hold on to the extra calories in the form of fat. The areas treated by liposuction will no longer gain weight disproportionately, but the fat will be stored elsewhere on your body. For this reason, liposuction is best done when you are at a healthy body weight to treat those areas that remain lumpy or too full even when your weight is appropriate.
