The Physicians Coalition for Injectable Safety raises several valid points. Caution is always the best policy. However, using things off-label is not anything new or unique. I would also mention that laser lipolysis (ie SmartLipo and others) is also FDA approved for the localized reduction of fat. The press release statement, "At present liposuction is the only approved, safe and proven method of reducing localized fat” is simply not true.
