The lower line of my top lip is not a straight line and I am unsure if any form of injectable plumping will accentuate the wave-like nature of my top lip, or if it will fill out my upper lip to form a nice straight lower line. Help! Attached is a photo of my current plumpless wavy lips. Also, my mouth is very small so will plumping give me a permanent sour lemon look? Or will it create the illusion of a larger mouth?!
Answer: Restylane can plump and shape your lips I think that I am understanding you. Your upper lip[ has a lovely shape at the upper border but you would like more volume WITHIN the lip and where your lips meet in the center. Yes, we can do that with fillers. Make sure that you see someone that does a lot of this so that they can taylor your treatment as those that do a little here and there have "canned" treatments and that is not what you want.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Lip Augmentation Hyaluronic acid fillers, if used properly, can enhance the shape of any lip to produce a more aesthetic result. To properly augment your lips, however, it may take several sessions of adding a small amount of filler. The mistake many plastic surgeons and dermatologists make is that they inject the entire syringe into the lips at once. You have a defined shape to your lips; to alter this, adding small amounts at several intervals will give you a more natural, full shape.

Answer: Shaping lips You bring up many issues with your question. The upper lip is generally not a straight line and a "wave" or curving line is generally considered preferable. Also asymmetry is generally the rule as opposed to symmetry which is less common. There is also a proportion of size of lips to size of face. Too big sometimes doesn't look right. So using a filler on you lips can frequently partially or fully correct the asymmetry, it can straighten out the lower line of the upper lip (although I am not sure why that would be a goal) and can certainly shape your lips without giving you a sour lemon look or lips that are too big. That all said, from the picture, your lips look pretty.

Answer: What can be done to enhance my wave like lip shape? I don't know if I am understanding your concern, exactly. Do you want to keep the wave or make a straight line out of it? I have used Alloderm implants for lip enhancement for many years and have great results with this implant. This implant lasts approximately 7 years and is very natural.
