I had a Lifestyle Lift on July 12. Today, July 18. I am still experiencing swelling and pain especially on my right ear. The swelling is very hard and is causing me discomfort when sleeping. Is this normal? How long does it really take to recover from the life style lift procedure? Do you have any reviews or comments regarding this procedure?

Be very careful. Dr. {edited} in Houston performed the procedure on my mother. When she went back to have her stitches removed the Dr. did not see her. An attendant removed her stitches. She complained of excessive swelling and soreness. The attendant said that was normal. Ten days later my mother had to go to the emergency room. She had a severe infection and had to have emergency surgery that same day. The infection is the MRSA Staph infection. She will require at lease one more surgery for the infection. She will also require additional surgery to correct the poor job done by the Lifestyle Lift Dr. There are incisions in front of her ears that are not straight and probably will have to be redone as well as an incision under her chin that looks like it will also have to be redone. The original price may seem cheap compared to a good Plastic Surgeon, but the results are not worth it. It seems that the Dr.s want to get the patients in and out in a hurry with very little follow up and aftercare. Go to a professional board certified plastic surgeon that has hospital privilages before you let a chop shop do the work.

I am on day 4, post-op, and still very uncomfortable with the tight feeling like a rubber band stretched around my head. I am lucky to have another week to recover before going back to work;it is ridiculous to even consider a few days of recovery time will do the trick. Don't really know if I look better or not. The swelling does make me look like the baby on "Family Guy" as someone else here commented.

I had the LSL 10 days ago. I had my lower eyes done and my jawline. I cannot say yet what the final results will be, as my sutchers are being removed tomorrow. while the doctor seemed competent and friendly, the operating room organized and clean, and the staff friendly, I do have a major problem with the LSL Company's terribly misleading and false advertising of the intensity of the procedure and the discomfort, and the recovery time mecessary. DP NOT expect to return to normal activities looking normal for at least a month or more. They manipulate the before and after photos and they totally minimize the torturous intensity of over 50 injections into your face, you hearing your skin being ripped away from the muscle then stretched tight and sewn up, followed by the excess being cut away with scissors. Remember you are AWAKE for all of this traumatic experience. They minimize the swelling, bruising and tightness. They lie about the time it will take before you actually look normal enough to go out in public feeling confident. 10 days now and my scars under my eyes are red, bumpy and ugly with some stitches still in place. My left side of my jaw is still swollen and numb, but the bruises are almost gone. I cannot see how my eyes will ever be beautiful again where these bumpy red scars are positioned so low beneath my eyelashes. Time will tell. I go tomorrow to have the ear jaw stiches removed. I will repost next monday when it has been two weeks. If after a few months, I will definitely consider a lawsuit for false advertising.

I had the lifestyle lift 12-19-2007. I had the lift with the lipo of the neck and chin. I still have drainage from the left ear but also have thus lump on the left neck which I noticed almost immediately after the surgery. I brought it to the attention of the doc when I had my sutures removed one week post-op and she said it would go away. Does anyone know what I am talking about? It is hard on the side that had the liposuction and almost feels and looks like a tendon? What can be done about this, is this a part od the normal healing process? I almost feel like this will have to be surgically corrected.

Has anyone had the lifestyle lift in the Santa Ana, CA office? I went for my first consultation with the assistant but I do notlike the fact you have to pay your deposit before you actually see the doctor. Also, from all these post I'm beginning to get cold feet. How was your recovery time? Were you able to go back to work in 6 days? For people that have had this procedure longer than a year, how is it going? I'm a little skeptical that it won't last too long. Thanks for all your comments!!

DEAR GOD PEOPLE, DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM! I happened to come across their infomercial and popped in a search online and came across a website - I don't know if this site edits in case of spammers, but just Google "lifestyle lift complaints" and click the link that takes you to infomercialscams dot com. I couldn't believe the stories I was reading written by people suckered into this procedure - and it's the SAME STORY FROM EVERYONE - everyone's all nice and happy and give you the hard sell (ooh we're having a SALE today! On surgery???? RED FLAG!!), they take your money (oh yes, refundable! until you try to get a refund hahaha), butcher you (some actually had office staff talking to the doctor - and some were DENTISTS!- while having the procedure done), but the minute someone had a complaint they were dismissive and rude, and some people are permanently disfigured or have to shell out for a real plastic surgeon to try and correct the problems. There are things in life that you should never, EVER try and "save money" on, and SURGERY IS ONE OF THEM. You get what you pay for, people. Maybe some are lucky and get a decent job done, but COME ON. There is no fountain of youth, there is no magic pill, but there ARE qualified, top notch plastic surgeons that know what they are doing - go to one of them, not these hacks!!!

By the way, I wanted to share something else I found interesting... A few links down from the Google search I described above I found a couple of websites that appeared to tout the procedure as positive... one was called myfaceliftstory dot com and the other was cosmetictoday dot com. I was curious about the WHOIS information (for those who don't know what WHOIS is, it's the registration information behind who owns the websites, you can search who has control of a website by going to whois not net and typing in the domain name). ODDLY ENOUGH, BOTH SITES ARE SET TO PRIVATE. This makes me very suspicious as to who actually runs those websites - and those were just the first two I checked! PLEASE REMEMBER, anyone can pick a domain name and put up a website and say they are real patients, or are being objective. Heck, the myfaceliftstory claims to be about a real woman who had the procedure but there is NO contact information, NO photos of HER, no way of allowing people to add their stories. She states on the home page "My site was up for a few weeks when I started getting requests from past Lifestyle Lift patients who also wanted to share their experience. So, I added their reviews to this page. I did not edit them. Some are negative and some are positive. I will let you decide for yourself. I can guarantee you these are true stories not made up by doctors or their staff." First, how did she get emails from people when there is no way to contact her? Second, how did she verify that the emails she received were from actual patients? Third, HOW CAN SHE GUARANTEE THEIR AUTHENTICITY? Listen, if any of you want to get this procedure done, there is obviously no way I can stop you. I just BEG you to use common sense. Do research (and by that I mean talk to reputable medical boards about the surgeon you are considering), take your time, listen to your gut... if something sounds too good to be true, IT IS.

Hi. I think the girls at LSL work on commission! I had to re-schedule a consultation appt and they really pressured me in to giving a definate date next month. To be honest I am having second thoughts about even going for a consult. They are so evasive, they won't give pricing or how the surgery is performed. I read now that cutting behind the ears is necessary, and for all this it only last 6 months? For a $4000 price tag? No way! I can go buy myself 1 or 2 horses for that price. ( I own and train Arabian and Quarter horses.)I live in Albuquerque NMX and was blown away by the commercials on tv. I swear, are these the same women in the before and after pictures? I recieved the brochure in the mail and these women don't even resemble eachother in the before and after shots. Does anyone out there have any info or advice for me? It would be much appreciated! Thanks for your time!
