Swelling After Neck Dissection? (photo)

I had over 30 lympnoids (sp) removed from my neck because of cancer. The surgery was 6 days ago and the swelling continues. He aspirated the area today and it showed no signs of fluid and he removed my drainage tubes today also. No ice pack was ever offered and he has not offered any solution to the swelling. Would ice packs help me now?
