About 9 years ago I had lasik and it reduced my night vision. It was noticeable but it really only caused me real problems when I would be in a very dark area for a long time. It would feel like my eyes were constantly trying to adjust to the darkness and got strained pretty fast. I just avoided that situation. Then I moved to a townhome and it is incredibly annoying to not know who is approaching me at night. Finally I find out I have a cataract at age 32 because my lasik flap didnt heal correctly and because I have poor night vision I don't qualify for the premium IOLs. The doctor told me to get the lens that will require me to get reading glasses. I thought I would rather live with a cloudy eye...So for the last 18 months I have lived with a cloudy eye but its getting bad. His explanation at the time was extra frustrating because he admitted he could improve my night vision some, possibly enough to qualify for the lens replacement I wanted, but the FDA had not improved these lasers for enhancements. Well, I cannot wait much longer. Is there any chance it was approved in the last 18 months or he was just crazy? Considering the bad luck I have already had if someone was very confident I would gladly travel. And if you thought doing 1 eye at a time and testing the results would be better then I would gladly travel 2 times. Thanks for reading
