LASIK for -10.00 with Normal Shaped Eyes and Thicker then Average Cornea?

I have had 2 different LASIK consultations within the last month. Both DRs said I had think corneas and good shaped eyes. One DR said they couldnt get 20/20 and that in 4-5 years my vision would be worse so they won't do it. The other said they would do LASIK and that my -10.00 isnt out of their range, but that there is a 10% chance of contrast sensitivity. Is DR #2 using different equipment or is DR #1 being cautious? Or, is Dr #2 making risky suggestions?
