Laser treatment to improve skin after psoriasis?

I'm 23 years old and had psoriasis on my face when I was 18-19. It wasn't treated it that led to skin peeling quite badly with my nose becoming more sore. I no longer have psoriasis on my face anymore but the skin on my nose is permanently pink in some areas. I believe the skin has thinned due to when layers were peeled off. A consultant told me that laser treatment probably wouldn't help to thicken or whiten the skin, and that a plastic surgeon specializing in dermatology may be able to help. Do you know if any type of laser could work to improve the colour of the skin or if there are any other procedures which could help?
