Has Anyone Had Laser to Remove Tattoo Eyeliner?

I had my eyebrows and eyeliner done 2 years ago and they are to dark for me. I had brown done on my eyebrows and when I went back for a touch up they turned black, I was later told by someone else who does tatoo makeup that if you try to go over a previous tatoo it will do this. I now want to have them taken off with the laser or even just lightned. What kind of results should I expect with pain, healing, down time, and overall results? Will I end up looking worse?
