Hello. Can one of the doctors on this board advise if it is safe to have laser hair removal around the nipple area? I have breast cysts and fibroadenomas and concerned that the laser can trigger off cancer. Is this possible? Thank you.

Laser Hair Removal Around Nipple
Laser hair removal since it targets hair follicles which reach only 2 - 3 mm under the skin would be unlikely to interact with cysts and fibroadenomas of the breast. Hair removal devices which have demonstrated efficacy on nipple hairs include IPL, alexandrite and diode lasers.

Laser hair removal
Laser hair removal does not target cysts or fibroadenomas nor penetrate that deeply so that treatment of the nipple area should not be of concern.

Laser Hair removal is safe for removing breast hair
Laser hair removal works to remove DARK hair from nearly any body area. It is safe and effective. Laser hair removal on the breasts has no relationship at all to breast cysts or breast cancer, so you can rest easy and enjoy your results.
