Can I Have Laser Hair Removal on Lip and Chin Area in the Same Week As a Photofacial?

A photofacial or ipl treatment should be allowed to heal for one to two weeks before a chemical peel, laser resurfacing or laser hair removal is done otherwise the healing skin might be more prone to injury and pigment change.

At SkinMD, we take a measured approach. We prefer not to perform treatments like photofacials and laser hair reduction in the same day or week. We stagger such treatments so that if there are any issues post treatment, we are able to ascertain which modality is the likely cause. Staggering treatments reduces the risk of complications that may arise from too much heat  in a particular area.
