I want to ask if it is necessary to do two different sizes implant(silicon)on my chest. The dr. said that my left appears slightly fuller than my right. He asked if it bothered me and if it did he recommends adding an extra 25CC to the right side. I asked if it will be even after &he said that there's a chance that the right might end up a little larger.. Do u think I should just stick to one size? I mean I never really noticed it being uneven but I'll let you be the judge!
Answer: Asymmetry treated with different volumes There is definitely asymmetry that you will notice more after surgery if you do not address it will more volume on the smaller side. This is much easier to accomplish with saline implants.

If you never really noticed a difference then I judge that difference to be small and I would tend to use the same implants in that case. Two implants that are the same size will camouflage a small size difference. It is normal and natural to have a difference between breasts in both size and shape. Facial asymmetries are also very common. Addressing a breast size difference with two different sized implants will make a difference less but there will almost always still be some difference.Best of luck.

I will sometimes use two different sizes to compensate for asymmetry. As your doctor said to you, there is no guarantee that it will make your breast completely symmetrical, I always say breasts are sisters not twins. However, there is a chance using different sizes can even out the symmetry, 25cc isn't that big of difference where it would make the best that is smaller now a lot larger when done.Like I said before, please discuss this in further detail with your PS. In some cases the asymmetry is so minor that the size implants do not need to be different. Without performing a physical exam, a true determination cannot be made. If you are not comfortable with what your surgeon has advised, you can always get a second opinion.
