Will Efudix Help with Sun and Liver Spots?

I have large sun spots (age/brown patches ) on my face and hands, will efudix help these? Also I have liver spots on my legs, I have been given efudix for these.

Efudex works on precancerous growths
Typically Efudex, 5-Fluorouracil, is absorbed by rapidly dividing skin cells in precancerous actinic keratoses but not the normal surrounding skin. Once in those cells, it prevents further division thereby arresting their growth. This should not happen in benign seborrheic keratoses which are brown and slightly textured or raised, nor should it work in lentigines or liver spots.
