Can Lacrimal Gland Removal Aid in Relieving my Allergic Conjunctivitis and Stringy Eye Mucus?

Symptoms, stinging itchy, eyes. Stringy mucous membranes on upper eyelid. Antibiotics do not relieve symptoms or pain, antihystimines do, which led me to belive this is an allergic reaction. Conjunctivitis only occurs in left eye and seems to initiate from lacrimal gland area, can I have this gland removed and what are the concerns/side effects if I do?
