It is early to determine that you have a capsular contracture but the things we do to try to decrease the incidence are massage, Vit E ( no real good clinical studies to support it), and some recommend therapeutic breast ultrasound. The use of the prostaglandin inhibitors Accolat or Singulair is also somewhat controversial. Accolate is a medication used in the treatment of asthma and can potentially cause problems with you liver. In the few times I have used it I have not seen a clinical response and I followed the liver function studies on a monthly basis. I would discuss these questions with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck.
