Blisters, spots, and scarring after KTP Laser

I had KTP Laser 4 weeks ago, and my face blistered. I'm left with what may be permanent scarring. I have several indented red "scratches" where the tissue has not rebuilt itself to its original level. Brown spots are still dark discolorations. My skin is worse off than before treatment. There was no cooling device on the laser, the technician only used ice. Is this normal? What should I expect for recovery? Is there another procedure I can do to minimize scarring? I'm an aesthetician who takes very good care of my skin, and am going to follow up with a cosmetic dermatologist ASAP.
