What Kind of Treatment is There for Ingrown Hair Scars?

I started to get ingrown hairs below my belly button. I made the mistake of picking them out and I'm left with about 5 raised bumps, they are scars now, and i also have some discolored skin. I went to a dermatologist/laser center and was told there was nothing they could do. However, they used a laser around the scar to make the dark pigmented areas lighten. Is there anything offered that could flatten the scars on my tummy? Or fade the pink scars? Please help! Thank you!
