Hopeless Case for Keloid Removal?

I have had 6 keloid scars on the center of my chest for the last 2 years. I used to have acne there. Every doctor I see shatters my hopes of getting rid of them. They are itchy, sensitive, and give me sharp shooting pains daily. They make it very difficult to sleep. So far, the doctors have given me little hope, and told me to live with it. I am on Kenalog injections every 6-8 weeks, an acne medication, and I apply steroid tape every other day. So far they have gotten softer sometimes, but not all. Also, 2 of the keloids look like they are connecting. What can I do? Am I a hopeless case for keloid removal?
