Juvederm side effects - discussion

My derm told me there's no difference between juvederm and restylane. She said both gave long lasting natural looking results for wrinkle treatment. but googled juvederm and their official site sure makes it sound more effective. Has anyone heard about Juvederm side effects?

3 weeks ago I had Juvederm on the nose to mouth line and on one side on my mouth because my mouth was very slightly crooked but not that noticeable. Now the right side of my mouth look ridiculously too big and when I smile the line around my nose look too plumb and make my face look very weird and if I don’t smile people ask me to cheer up because I look miserable.. I am getting married in 7 weeks time can someone please tell me how can I make those area back to what it was or make it better, does massaging the area would help ? Thank you so much for your help..

i just turned 46. I used juvaderm for the first time in 1/07. the next time it was needed was @ 2/08. it is now 2/09 and i honestly see no necessity for to get any shots in the immediate future.. oh yea, the last time i got a small amount of botox was 5/1....and still no wrinkles.

i just did the juve in my lips to make em fuller on saturday. the only downfall is the left upper lip is blk and blue. but i can tell that they will be really nice when it goes away. my kids noticed and i had to lie and say i got hit in the gym in circut boxing class. im just hoping it goes away soon as im gonna be in fla w my boyfriend soon and he doesnt know i did this also. i think once u do one thing u do it all eventually as long as u dont end up looking like a freak like michael jackson subtle changes and enhancements are the way to go nowadays. who doesnt do it? right?

I've had both juvederm and restalyn. I liked both products but found the juvederm last longer. I've now had 2 injections (1 year apart) in my lips and nasal fold and have loved it both times!! Before receiving injections you should never take any type of pain medication as that will cause more bleeding and bruising. I had forgotten this last time and took an advil that morning. Because of that I bruised more, but I blame the meds, not the Juvederm. My Plastic surgeon always massages the areas he injects to better smooth out the material. I've had swelling that was gone within 48 hours. I guess it's like any product, everybody is different and some will react negatively to certain compounds. Good luck!

I had juvederm in hollows of cheeks 10 days ago. swelling has not subsided and has even gotten worse. my whole bottom half of my face looks like its been pulled down and skin has a spongey feeling, where makeup wont even stay on. I would have kept my hollows, at least I had tight skin. Worse yet is the dents in both sides of my cheeks, which means I have to go back for more of this crap. It scares me that I wont have my tight face back again. I honestly thought Juvederm would help with that aspect but it loosened everything up and made my face like a round shapeless sponge bag.

I had Juvederm yesterday and have two big lumps. One on the bottom and one on the top. I look like a nightmare that just came out of the dentist. Really messed up my smile. If I go back in can this be fixed? Or do I stay in my house for next year? Vanity got me this time, didn't it ...

I had Juverderm injected one month ago for naso folds and vertical lines in my chin area. What a disaster; I've had restalyne injections before with no problems. This time however I ended up looking like I was in a serious car accident. Nothing but horrible bruising and dots under the skin. Mainly it was the god awful bruising that nothing would conceal, NOTHING. I still have the largest bruise visable. My doctor was distracted during the procedure, he had to leave me twice to attend to another patient that was having some issues. Every single line he injected turned into a bruise. What a horrible experience. I'm told Juvederm can last 6 months or longer. More like 4 months since it takes months for the bruising to fade...
