Is Juvederm Good for a Horizontal Line Above Lip?
I am 28 years old. My skin is in good shape, aside form this one inch long horizontal line above my lip. I am not a smoker, it is definitely from my smile. A doctor once recommended a botox/filler combo, but I am terrified to use botox in that area. Would a filler such as Juvaderm be good for that? Again the line is about one inch long and horizontal. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Juvederm Ultra for Lip Lines

Regarding your question, Juvederm Ultra is a good choice for managing peri-oral lip lines. The treatment is generally performed over a couple of sessions a few weeks apart to produce optimal results. I strongly recommend going to a clinician who has experience in managing peri-oral wrinkles.

Juvaderm may be the most effective filler for lines in the lips. This may be because of the special cross linking and the amount of free hyaluronic acid in the product.

Fillers for a perioral wrinkle
As long as the filler is a thinner substance, fillers can be used for this purpose. I have used both Juvederm Ultra or Prevelle Silk and they have produced very nice results. Sometimes 1 or 2 units of Botox could also be used if your crease worsens with activiation of your mouth sphincter muscle.

I agree with those who say that Juvederm Ultra would be best for this line. In my experience, Juvederm can provide a very soft, natural result throughout the lip area.

Upper lip line and fillers
Well, if you are afraid of Botox it is certainly reasonable to sue a filler to soften the line. It will not completely flattern it if it is from animation.

Is Juvederm good for a horizontal lip line?
I have been very pleased with the results from Juvederm injection into lip lines. Obviously horizontal ones ( smoker’s lips) are more common than horizontal, but it gives an excellent result with very little chance for lumpiness. I would not recommend Botox in someone of your age particularly since you are against its use in the first place.

Yes,, Juvederm is great for this problem for 2 reasons. First the line is improved in appearance. Second there is a prophylactic effect that inhibits further line development or deepening. Use Emla cream generously 60 minutes before treatment and this will decrease discomfort. An alternative is a simple dental block. Juvederm now also has Lidocaine so the treatment can be done pain free with Emla or a dental block. This is a fine filler. ...

Juviderm for upper lip lines.
Yes, Juviderm is what you need for the line, not botox. This will last for at least 1 year and you will have extra left for other lines you might have.

Juvederm will help lip line.
Hi.
We have seen this type of line several times, and it responds well to Juvederm Ultra filler. Because this is an active line, you need to re do it at least once a year.

Botox is not the answer, Juvederm done expertly can soften the line. Other alternative is fractional CO2 laser.

Juvederm for Lip Wrinkle
Juvederm is a great filler to fix lip wrinkles, even horizontal ones. Botox may prolong its effect but is not at all necessary, especially since you're "terrified" about its use. Go ahead and try Juvederm (make sure it's the new one with pre-mixed lidocaine) and keep on smiling!
