I was told by my orthodonist that I would need jaw surgery to get my teeth "perfectly" straight and that my lower jaw appears to be slightly larger than my upper jaw. I am reconsidering it, because I hate the way my profile looks because of my chin especially when I'm smiling and for my teeth to be straight. About how much does the surgery cost (I know I may need the chin size itself adjusted, besides the jaw)and the ortho said it would make my face longer, which I do not want. Can I avoid that?
