Are Jaw Implants Less Popular Because Of The Risk?

Want to have jaw-implant but as i was searching for it didn't see allot of before and after pictures, so it got me thinking why isn't it that popular.I read that around the angle of the mandible there is the parotid gland and it it runs the facial nerve which gives rise to the parotid plexus and the facial nerve is a motor nerve which gives rise to the motor function of the facial muscles, my question,is this the reason why it isn't so popular because it is more dangerous than other procedures.
