Internal splints can be uncomfortable when removed. This is generally due to crusts that have formed around the splints and have stuck to the inner lining of the nose. You may have some bleeding as the splints are removed. If you are very uneasy about the removal, your surgeon can spray some numbing solution to make it less uncomfortable. Best wishes.
