Acne during Pregnancy
Pregnancy can induce a type of hormonal acne in which deep cystic nodules form in the mid to lower face that typically resolves after giving birth. Most acne medicines are contraindicated during pregnancy. I recommend being evaluated by a board certified dermatologist who can assess your individual situation and work with your OB to tailor a treatment regimen appropriate for you and safe for the baby.
