Is There a Permanent Way to Reduce Rhinoplasty Scar Tissue?

I had Rhinoplasty a year ago, and just visited with my surgeon today for a check-up. It looked amazing when the splint came off. But now, after a year, the bottom half of my nose is swollen, and he says it's scar tissue. He injected it on the spot, and told me to come back in 2 months for more injections.

After he injected it today, it seems to have gotten even more swollen, and it's quite depressing. Is this normal? Will this go down, or will the scar tissue/swelling gradually continue to get worse? I'm concerned that my nose could be deformed.

Since you mentioned the steroids are not a permanent fix, will I have to go in for injections regularly from now on?

Thank you so much.
