Is Hypo and Hyperpigmentation from Pixel Laser Permanent?

I had my first Pixel laser treatment done with Yag laser three weeks ago. I am noticing more hyperpigmentation where there was none before and it seems each time I wake up I see more white spots (like a deer), hypopigmentation, where again I never had any. I was told because of my light skin there was about a 1% chance of this happening. Guess I'm in the one percent. My acne scarring improved, slightly, but where I use to wear minimal makeup to correct this, now I am back to foundation to correct all the other issues. Now the aesthetican is trying to get me to do IPl to correct these, but I don't want to look like a ghost afterwards with no pigment. I was thinking a series of microdermabrasions instead....any opinions on this? My solution I'm thinking is to try and tan the areas that are white to at least get an even skin tone again. Has anyone else found their face permanently scarred, or will these things disappear over time?
