I heard an MD on Realself say that Fraxel Repair would be less effective on male skin. Can anybody elaborate on this claim?

Fraxel Repair is effective on both males and females
Fraxel Repair is effective on both males and females. Male skin is thicker, allowing it to be treated more aggressively. Additionally, there is often less recovery time.

Fraxel re:pair is Effective in Both Male and Female Patients, But There Are Differences
Hi VN,
Male skin is generally thicker than female skin. Male skin can be treated more aggressively with Fraxel re:pair than female skin. Males seem to heal a little faster than females, many of my male patients are back to work within 5-7 days, granted with some redness which covers up well with particular sun blocks.
