I have been using IPL (intense pulsed light) for rosacea for over a decade and we get great results. It is not a cure, but it makes the redness and breakouts and broken blood vessels much better. It also helps with the burning and pain of the skin that some patients get with rosacea. If the rosacea is severe, we recommend a series of 5 treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart and then every 3-6 months maintenance. Some people can get away with fewer treatments. It all depends on the severity of the disease. IPL is not a cure, but it is a major improvement for many patients and rosacea can be very debilitating. IPL works well.
