IPL Hair Removal - Unwanted Pigmentation

I had my IPL hair removal treatment after 3 years in neck area. It was a little more painful than I remember. When I woke up next morning I saw a lot of very small brown patches on the treated area. I do have many freckles on my face during summertime ... Will this pigmentation go away?
